World Travel Market Latin America 2014, which takes place from April 23 – 25 at the Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo, is introducing a dedicated Travel Technology Region to the exhibition floor for the first time.
The region will include some of the biggest names in the travel technology industry including Google and Tripadvisor.
Furthermore, it will include an ‘Innovation Zone’, where companies will be giving brief introductions to new products and platforms, explaining how they work in an easy and accessible manner to delegates.
The new region for the second edition of the event follows on from the success travel technology has had at WTM Latin America’s sister event World Travel Market in London.
Travel technology is the fastest growing region of London’s World Travel Market and 2013 saw the region become a stand-alone event in its own right – The Travel Tech Show at WTM.
WTM Latin America Exhibition Director Lawrence Reinisch said: “I am delighted to be able to launch a new Travel Technology region to the exhibition floor. Travel technology is an ever-increasingly important section of the industry and it is right that WTM Latin America gives it the dedicated focus that it deserves.
“At our sister event, World Travel Market in London, the technology region grew by 70% in three years before becoming a dedicated show in its own right.
“I look forward to welcoming more of the global industry leading technology companies alongside Tripadvisor and Google.”
