Analysis conducted following CIBTM, China’s leading meetings, incentives and business travel exhibition, taking place annually at the China National Convention Centre in Beijing has confirmed the resounding success of the education programme, with the line up of sessions securing the highest level of attendance to date.
Helen Zhao, Dalian BIT World Travel Service, Inc. commented, “The education programme is open to everyone and it is a fantastic way for attendees to develop their careers and expand their knowledge on the latest hot topics, research and market trends.”
Those sessions most highly attended included The Annual CIBTM Industry Trends Report findings (presented by Sally Greenhill of Right Solution), The China MICE Buyers Report (presented by Rob Davidson, Senior Lecturer in Events Management, University of Greenwich, London) and the Professor’s Views on the Industry (delivered by Davidson (as above) and Xing Lan, Director, Sino-German IEMS Programme, Shanghai University of International Business & Economics (SUIBE).
Claudia Du, Director of Marketing and Communications Assistant Director of Sales and Marketing, PanGu 7 Star Hotel Beijing commented, “I have attended CIBTM for many years. It is obvious that the education programme this year has improved a lot in terms of quantity and quality. All sessions that I attended provided me with valuable industry insights and inspired me in my current job role.
“The Chinese Buyer Report that launched this year is the best session I’ve ever attended, it not only revealed the preference of the buyers in terms of the venues they choose for their events, but it also taught us about how to approach the clients in ways which they prefer. What I have learnt from this report is a key to us winning future business.”
Yang Fen, Manager, Hunan Sincere International Travel Service Co. Ltd commented, “This is my first time to CITBM. Compared with other travel exhibitions, CITBM has a high quantity and quality of both exhibitors and buyers. I was also very impressed with the professional education sessions and I always believe that it’s the best way to maximize our business in local and international market.
“Both international and local speakers were excellent, and I was pleased that CIBTM introduced more Chinese speakers who bring more local knowledge, and the international sessions were excellent as usual.”
