Latin America to showcase innovations and diversity at FITUR 2014

Latin America will be present in the International Tourism Fair of Spain (FITUR) on Jan 22-26, with innovations to show representatives of more than 9,000 companies from 165 countries.

Cuba will present a wide range of sun and sand destinations as main product and will take the opportunity to promote its International Tourism Fair (FITCUBA 2014), scheduled from May 6 to 10.

Mexico will show its cultural, geographical, and food diversity, while El Salvador will promote a nature offer, including Lake Coatepeque and Llamatepec volcano as its jewels.

Panama will combine the traditional attractions with operations under way in a year of historical celebrations: the centenary of the Canal.

Argentina appears with the Dakar 2014 rally as a different way to discover 11 regions in the South American country.

Reports about the Fair also indicate that Brazil will launch in Fitur the Project on Tourism Promotion of Cultural Heritage, Cities, and Peru announced the presence of new firms in a country which surpassed, in 2013, the three million visitors.

Guatemala will focus on the objective of attracting visitors from the United Kingdom, France, Spain and Germany, while Costa Rica proposes the adventure as the main product.

Paraguay will focus its exhibition in promoting AsunciĆ³n, Ciudad del Este, Salto del Guaira and Pedro Juan Caballero, while Colombia, which reported in 2013 an increase in visits of more than eight percent, will focus in Cartagena, Bogota, Santa Marta and Cali.

In correspondence with planned investments of $ 600 million over four years, Ecuador will be present at Fitur, while Uruguay will present its potential as a destination close to the World Cup in Brazil with a program of packages.

Honduras focuses on Tela Bay and Indura Beach and Golf Resort, a complex that includes a golf course with 18 holes, sample of the region’s extensive tourist options.
