The newly refurbished Mercure Sydney Central in the heart of Railway Square is set to launch its first ever pop up bar 'Summer Sunsets On Railway Square' for the duration of Sydney Festival, from 9 - 26 January 2014.
The Summer Sunset pop up bar will take place on the hotel's spacious terrace overlooking the skyline of Sydney's central business district, which is often described as Sydney's Time Square. In this hip, vibrant atmosphere guests can enjoy pizzas, cheese platters and other snacks along with a few of the hotel's local brewery offerings – Sydney Cider and Surry Hills Pils.
The Summer Sunset bar will operate between 5-8pm Tuesday-Friday and 4-8pm every Saturday for the duration of Sydney Festival.
After undergoing a renaissance, the four-star, George Street-located hotel completed the final stages of a major renovation in December 2013, with each of the hotel's 517 rooms revealing a bright, contemporary new look, re-stating its place as the precinct's premier mid-market choice for both business and leisure travellers.
Accommodation rooms have adopted a fresh approach to styling, and feature a warm colour palette of purple and grey interiors with dark marble bench tops, creating a relaxed, yet contemporary look.
A highlight of the stylish hotel is the undercover rooftop swimming pool, sauna and gym, offering views of the city skyline, plus a variety of bar and restaurants for guests to explore.
