Embark on a romantic journey in Mie Prefecture!

 "rocks of the married couple”

Couples can't miss the enchanting Meoto Iwa, or "rocks of the married couple”. 

These couple rocks are considered as an entrance gate of the shrine for worshipping the Japanese Goddess of the sun, and is connected by a thick, sacred, straw rope.

You can access Meoto Iwa access by a 15 min walk from Futamigaura station, or a 20 min bus from Iseshi Station bound for Toba. 

Depart at Meotoiwa Higashiguchi bus stop and walk for 5 mins.
