Yamadera's mountaintop temple

Climb 1,000 steps through a mystical forest to reach Yamadera's mountaintop temple.

Enjoy one of northern Japan's best views amid ancient architecture and serene landscapes.

Yamadera is accessible by a 7 min walk from Yamadera Station.

Admission is 300 yen (approx. AU $3), and is open from 8:30-15:00 during autumn/winter.
