The WINX Stand, Royal Randwick, Australian Turf Club (ATC) was a Venue of the Year finalist at the Australian Event Awards which recognises great achievements amongst the best across the entire Australian events industry.
In 2022-23, the WINX Stand hosted an impressive variety of 50 business and consumer events, including rugby league’s glittering live broadcast night of nights, Optus Orbital 2023, and Ferrari history with Universo Ferrari. It also accommodated 28 racedays, including the historic TAB Everest Day with the biggest raceday crowd in 50 years.
The variety of business and consumer events the WINX Stand has hosted brilliantly demonstrates the versatility, depth, breadth and uniqueness of the two-level 5,043 sqm $46.6 million state-of-the-art venue; as well as showcasing the expertise, passion, and dedication of ATC’s award-winning events and hospitality teams.
Jimmy Busteed, General Manager Hospitality and Events, said the team was delighted to be named as a finalist in this award category in recognition of everything the WINX Stand has brought to Sydney’s venue scene.
“We’ve hosted so many amazing events in the WINX Stand, working with fabulous clients and partners and of course, the best team to deliver above and beyond each time. To be named a finalist at the prestigious Australian Event Awards amongst such an outstanding list of venues is an honour and congratulations to RAC Arena on the win.
“This finalist recognition is testament to the way the WINX Stand transforms to suit every occasion, and none of this would be possible without the commitment to excellence and dedication of the team who make the WINX Stand a hub of extraordinary events.
“What a ride it has been so far and here’s to pushing the boundaries of event excellence to host more dreams in the WINX Stand,” said Busteed.
The WINX Stand hosts Sydney’s top domestic and international meetings and events; it was fully booked for its first month of operations in December 2021, and has seen continued strong demand. The WINX Stand is set to close the year out with a fully booked schedule of end of year celebrations and meetings.
