We’ve now entered the hanabi (fireworks) season in Japan!

Each year, spectacular fireworks displays adorn the night sky throughout Japan, particularly during the summer months of July and August.

Pictured is the grand hanabi show at the Nagaoka Fireworks Festival in Niigata Prefecture. It is held annually on the 2nd and 3rd August along the banks of Shinano River.
