What to know before you go to the Amalfi Coast

The Amalfi Coast
The Amalfi Coast stretches from Positano to Vietri sul Mare and flanks the azure waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The region is a firm favourite, and for good reason. Its high cliffs, enchanting coves and bays, terraces dotted with citrus fruits, and artisan shopping make it one of the most visited areas of Italy’s Campania region.

By late autumn and winter, the Amalfi Coast really begins to shine for explorers. December and January are the more relaxed months when you can enjoy the towns of Positano, Praiano, Amalfi and Ravello, Furore, Atrani, Maiori and Minori at their most peaceful and authentic state – and while the locals have plenty of time to share a leisurely chat.
