July in Tottori - Seasonal Information

Lotus flowers in flower words, represent the purity of the body, mind, and spirit since they gracefully bloom after emerging from the mud. 

In Japan, the best time to visit a beautiful lotus pond is around July. Shikano Town is home to one of the nicest lotus ponds in Tottori Prefecture, with over 190 different species of white and pink lotus blooms.

There is a spot in the lotus pond where visitors can enjoy the lovely sight of being surrounded by lotus blooms. 

You can also visit "Koyamaike Park" and "Hokikodai Hill Park" to see different species of lotuses. 

The lotus blooms in the morning, closes at late afternoon and then blooms again the following day, so carefully consider your visit time if you want to catch it at its best.
