Queensland will be on the world stage when the first Brisbane game of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ kicks off this Saturday, 22 July. More than 200,000 tickets are sold for Brisbane’s eight matches across the tournament.
Positioning our world-class tourism offerings to a worldwide audience, the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ Trophy Tour recently toured Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay region to showcase our beautiful beaches, restaurants and tourism experiences.
The event will be televised right around the world and is forecast to generate $30.5 million for Queensland’s visitor economy.
