Currently, the whole country has gradually adapted to life in the new normal and is entering the recovery phase. Holidays including Hung King's death anniversary, Reunification Day (30th April) International Workers Day (1st May), summer holiday, etc. are opportunities for domestic tourism to increase strongly in the near future.
Thai Nguyen Province has started responding to reopen tourism under the new normal with the motto "Adapting safely, flexibly and controlling the Covid-19 pandemic effectively" under the direction of the Government. Through this activity, the province upholds propaganda, introduction and promotion of Thai Nguyen tourism; preserve and promote the value of the Special National Relic of Dinh Hoa ATK in association with preserving the traditional cultural identity and natural resources. At the same time, continue to expand tourism development linkages among localities; create opportunities for travel businesses to study, expand markets, build intra-provincial tours, link with travel businesses outside the province to build tours to Thai Nguyen.
Highly appreciated the efforts and attention of the People’s Committee of Thai Nguyen Province and the initiative of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thai Nguyen Province in restarting tourism activities in the province, Mr. Nguyen Le Phuc, VNAT’s Vice Chairman emphasised, Thai Nguyen Province located in a convenient location in terms of traffic, acts as a gateway for exchanges and socio-economic integration among the midland and mountainous regions and the Northern Delta. Thai Nguyen also has the advantage of rich cultural and human resources with a special national historical relic site, Dinh Hoa ATK, etc., national intangible cultural heritage properties with outstanding natural resource values.
In order to well develop the province's tourism potential and seize the opportunity to open tourism, Thai Nguyen needs to focus on a number of tasks:
(1) Reorganise tourism activities, unify the process of welcoming and serving visitors, prepare all aspects of facilities, equipments, labours and plans to ensure safe and effective tourism.
(2) Communicating and promoting information to the market about a safe, attractive, friendly destination and ready to welcome visitors to Thai Nguyen Province.
(3) Inspecting and reviewing product and service qualities; improving and upgrading facilities; recruiting and training human resources to ensure service quality to meet the requirements of reopening tourism.
(4) Actively coordinate and associate among localities and businesses to develop products, refresh products to suit the demands of visitors according to new trends. Upholding the effectiveness in linkages of 6 Viet Bac provinces (Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Tuyen Quang, Ha Giang, Lang Son, Thai Nguyen) to implement the Tourism Programmes “Crossing to Viet Bac heritage lands'', Programme linking the provinces of Thai Nguyen - Bac Giang - Hai Duong - Quang Ninh; The cooperation programmes with Ha Noi, Quang Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City and the Northeast provinces.
(5) Digital transformation, smart technical application, create favourable conditions for visitors to approach destinations, use services and experience to the fullest while travelling.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Duong Van Luong, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Thai Nguyen Province hoped to strengthen to invest in infrastructure development of tourist areas and spots; the tourist zones, attractions, tourism business enterprises ensure the conditions as prescribed; promote tourism activities, improve competitiveness to enhance the attractiveness of the destinations. He asked the districts, cities, towns in Thai Nguyen pay attention to developing local tourism, forming tours and tourist attractions based on natural tourism resources and cultural identities. ...
In the framework of the event in Thai Nguyen Province, there are a chain of activities taking place, such as: Offering incense in memory of President Ho Chi Minh; implementing the guidance of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on opening tourism under the new normal; opening the educational zone "Returning to the root - ATK"; display, introduce, promote the destination; tours to visit and experience Dinh Hoa ATK, etc.
