Tourism flourishes in many places in Vietnam

On the New Year holiday, many localities have quite positive statistics on the recovery of tourism. Some localities noted number of visitor arrivals as below

Ha Noi during the three days of New Year's holiday in 2022 from the 1st to 3rd January 2022, the number of visitors to Ha Noi was estimated about 60,000 arrivals. Some tourist areas and attractions have attracted a significant number of visitors during these days, specifically, Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism, Ba Vi National Park, Bao Son Paradise Park, Tan Da Tourist Area, Hong Van Ornamental Creature Village, Vietnam Military History Museum, etc. Besides, on January 1, 2022, Ha Noi welcomed the first international flight in New Year from Tokyo, Japan with 143 passengers landed at Noi Bai International Airport.

Quang Ninh Province (Northeast) in the first day of 2022, Tuan Chau welcomed nearly 1,600 visitors to visit, stay and experience seaplanes. As recorded at Legacy Yen Tu, the room capacity during the 3 days of the New Year holiday 2022 was up to 90%. They mainly traveled in small groups, families; came from safe areas in other provinces; and have been vaccinated with at least 2 doses of Covid-19 vaccine.

In Dien Bien Province (Northwest), tourism flourishes thanks to new flight route. After a quiet year, in the last days of 2021, Dien Bien tourism gradually prospers with tourist groups from Ho Chi Minh City. The new flight route shortens the travel time (currently flying for more than 2 hours) and also has a reasonable price, which contribute to stimulating tourism demand to the Northwest region in general and Dien Bien in particular.

In Da Nang (Centre), on the occasion of the New Year 2022, there were 27 flights bringing tourists to Da Nang. The trend of tourists this time is mainly traveling by small groups and families, self-booking, but little through travel agencies.

Khanh Hoa (Centre) on the afternoon of January 3, a leader of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism said that during 3 first days this New Year holiday, Khanh Hoa welcomed more than 37,000 visitor arrivals, a slight increase compared to the same period of previous year. In which, there were 1,650 international visitors. Some 4-5 star accommodation establishments in Khanh Hoa province had prepared a number of programs to serve tourists on New Year's Eve, such as the gala night to welcome the New Year 2022, along with many food services, music programs, or promotional products, room discounts.

Binh Thuan Province (Centre), according to statistics of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, during the 3 days of New Year holiday, Binh Thuan welcomed about 13,500 visitor arrivals, mainly domestic tourists. They came to Binh Thuan mainly by groups of friends, families or small groups, traveled by family car or motorbike, visited Hon Rom area (Mui Ne, Phan Thiet City) and La Gi Town. For accommodation establishments of 4-5 stars, the average room capacity was about 70-90%; the rest had a room capacity of about 40-60%.

Meanwhile, Vung Tau City (South)
in the three days of the 2022 New Year holiday, welcomed about 61,000 visitor arrivals, nearly equal to the same period last year.

According to Mr. Nguyen Khanh Hiep, director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of An Giang Province (South), the number of visitors to An Giang during the 3 days of the New Year holiday in 2022 also reached nearly 40,000 arrivals.

As noted, the sea and island areas of Kien Giang Province (South) such as Kien Hai District, Ha Tien City and especially in Phu Quoc Island City these days are crowded with tourists. Particularly by air, Phu Quoc welcomed about 10,000 visitor arrivals during the 2022 New Year holiday.
