The spot of the Mysterious strange rock monster stone
Hokuto-Iwa
It is a rock that rises to the heaven and radiate in the sky just like the Big Dipper constellation that never moves .
A rock that rises in the sky, like Big Dipper shining in the sky.
Since ancient times, it has been called the “stone gate” and was thought to be the gate that separates the sacred and the profane. The Priest Benkei’s Rock is the rock that balances so dangerously overhead, that Benkei, a priest from long ago, had made 7 attempts before he had the courage to pass to the Pure Land on the other side.
Mother’s womb passage
This is one of the places of Tsukuba meditation (shugendo). By passing through the rock, it means to be reborn again.
