Paris Precincts: A Curated Guide to the City's Best Shops, Eateries, Bars and Other Hangouts - Beautiful New Guidebook Launched April 15

'Paris is always a good idea.' Audrey Hepburn

Iconic. Romantic. Timeless. The allure of Paris never fades, and the lights of this most fabled of cities have never shined so brightly. The Paris of today is exploding with a youthful, exuberant and irreverent energy; artisans and young designers now rub shoulders with the establishment, with eclectic new restaurants, boutiques and cocktail bars opening every week across the whole breadth of the city.

Paris Precincts; A curated guide to the city's best shops, eateries, bars and other hangouts offers a snapshot of the best and brightest places to emerge in this blossoming scene, along with a few evergreens, eccentrics and surprises.

Like the city itself, the chapters within Paris Precincts are divided into arrondissements, each with its own identity, from the grand beating heart of 'Le Premier', home to the Musée du Louvre and the city's most fashionable restaurants and boutiques, to the louche ninth arrondissement, where the sleazy hostess bars of Place Pigalle are gradually giving way to artisan cocktail bars – and even a brand new name, SoPi (south of Pigalle).

Let Donna Wheeler take you on a tour of this beautiful, vibrant city, and introduce you to the faces behind the places that make its famous heart beat. Find out where the locals shop, eat and drink – who better to tell you the city's secrets than the Parisians themselves?

Beautifully designed in hardback with full-colour photography, this stunning book is crammed with everything you need to know to sample all the delights of the City of Lights. With up-to-date mapping, advice on etiquette and lifestyle, a useful Local Lingo section and general travel tips to help you find your way around, Paris Precincts is both a practical and inspiring guide to this incredible city.

'Bienvenue to Paris Precincts! I encourage you to strike out, roam wide and dig deep, be it by arrondissement or street, or via chef, barista or designer, and claim Paris as your own.' Donna Wheeler
