New Korea Tourism K-Style Hub opens in Seoul for the benefit of visitors

Korea Tourism Organization has opened a new K-Style Hub in Seoul for the benefit of visitors to the country. The centre is spread over four floors with a new and improved information centre and various experiences ranging from medical tourism to hallyu (Korean wave) experiences, Korean food exhibitions and classes and also an art market where travellers can browse and purchase top Korean products.

Lead actor Song Joong-ki from the latest Korean drama 'Descendents of the Sun' attended the opening and was officially appointed as the new Korea Tourism Honorary Ambassador 2016 and will star in the upcoming TV commercials promoting Korean tourism worldwide.

The new and improved Tourist Information Centre (TIC) is located on the second floor of the building located in Cheonggyecheon-ro (Seoul's original stream which is a tourist attraction in itself). The information centre is open year round from 9am-8pm daily with assistance in Korean, Japanese, Chinese & English.

The TIC not only provides information on tourist destinations and attractions around the country but also offers experiences, travel books and a cafe for the convenience of visitors.

The third and fourth floors are dedicated to Korean food (Hansik) with both an exhibition hall and an experience hall. Both are open 10-6pm daily except closed on Tuesdays. The exhibition teaches about the wisdom of Korean food and the storage process. The experience hall offers the chance to not only try tasty Korean foods but make them for yourself.

On the fifth floor visitors can enjoy the Art Market Hall where they can browse and purchase from over six hundred food, traditional Korean crafts and other great souvenirs for themselves or family and friends. The Art Market Hall is open 10-6pm daily except for Tuesdays.
