Staging Connections has today announced the arrival of a new audio-visual innovation at Crown Melbourne – the VuePix E series Pro LED Wall. The 52m² LED Wall has been added to the Palladium at Crown, providing clients and event attendees with a revolutionary visual experience of unmatched colour, brightness and intensity.
Andrew MacColl, Director of Event Technology, Staging Connections is delighted to announce this new addition to enhance events of all shapes and sizes.
“We’ve been the in-house AV supplier to Crown Melbourne since it opened in 1997 and in that time we have ensured that the venue remains at the forefront of event technology in Australia. We are excited that we can bring this new piece of industry-leading technology to the venue so together we can continue to create unforgettable events.
“The impressive 14.4m x 4m display is comprised of over 500,000 individual LEDs and will provide the perfect virtual set for event designers seeking a unique visual impact,” said Mr MacColl.
With a brightness rating of over 3,500 nits (over ten times that of the average home television), the LED Wall can enliven the room with dynamic animated backgrounds for performance pieces. The Wall can also be safely rigged or stacked as either a complete wall or as a series of smaller displays, transforming the ballroom into a digitally immersive event space.
Kristy Richards, Crown Melbourne Venue Sales Executive, Staging Connections recognises the impact the LED Wall will have on events.
“The versatility of the LED Wall enables us to create bespoke digital solutions for each event at Crown Melbourne, transforming how events use visual content to engage with attendees,” said Ms Richards.
The LED Wall was trialled at the Christmas Showcase, where it provided a dynamic and fluid stage environment for multiple performers. Utilising the theme of Four Seasons of Christmas, the production took guests through different countries and allowed the team to cast the room in an array of different colours through spectacular onscreen content, supported by dramatic lighting.
The LED Wall will be used in conjunction with the Palladium at Crown’s existing award-winning Meyer Sound’s horizontal array loudspeaker system to provide a premium event experience for clients and event attendees. Staging Connections’ team of in-house multimedia designers can create custom content, both animated or still imagery, to leverage the power of the LEDs.
