The Langham, Xintiandi Welcomed Celebrity Eva Longoria for English Afternoon Tea at the Hotel in Partnership Italian Jeweller Damiani

On 30 May 2014, The Langham, Xintiandi welcomed award-winning American actress Eva Longoria to a two-day stay at the hotel during her visit to Shanghai. The Hollywood star along with Chinese actress Amanda Qin Hai Lu were guests of honour of Guido Damiani, owner and president of Damiani Italian fine jewellery, who were in the city for Damiani's 90th anniversary celebration and official store opening event.

As part of the brand collaboration between The Langham, Xintiandi and Damiani China, The Langham, Xintiandi developed and launched a unique English afternoon tea set in December, 2013 called the Tiffin Damiani Afternoon Tea featuring sweet and savoury bite-size delights inspired by the precious jewels of Damiani. The Tiffin Damiani Afternoon Tea set was the key highlight served to invited guests at the VIP brand event and jewellery showcase held in the hotel's Chairman Suite before they proceeded to the official opening of the Damiani store adjacent to the hotel. The evening ended with an exclusive five-course gala dinner event in the hotel prepared by executive chef Jorg-Peter Nodler and his team highlighted with a homemade 10-kilogramme chocolate cake created by pastry chef Delia Zhu and her team to celebrate Damiani's 90th year anniversary.
