DESTINATION NSW PROMOTES VIVID SYDNEY 2017 TO MILLIONS ACROSS THE WORLD

This year’s Vivid Sydney is set to attract more visitors than ever before with Destination NSW partnering with major airlines and travel trade partners around Australia and the world to promote the world’s largest festival of light, music and ideas.

Destination NSW Chief Executive Officer and Vivid Sydney Executive Producer Sandra Chipchase said a number of new campaigns had been launched to drive bookings to Australia’s largest event from 26 May to 17 June.

“To boost visitation from our intrastate and interstate markets, we have launched 19 Vivid Sydney campaigns, a 46 per cent increase on the previous year,” Ms Chipchase said.

“We have also developed more than 180 international Vivid Sydney campaigns to lure more visitors from our priority markets, including launching almost 100 campaigns in China, our fastest growing and largest inbound visitor market.

“For the first time, we are working with China’s number one user-generated travel content platform, Mafengwo, to promote flights and hotel packages to its 80 million users.

“Vivid Sydney is a huge cross collaboration with our industry stakeholders and we are extremely proud of our marketing and partnership activities to increase awareness of and visitation to Vivid Sydney.”
