Newcastle Beer Fest is set to return to one of Newcastle's most spectacular coastal locations on Saturday 20 February 2027, promising craft beer, live music, gourmet food and a relaxed festival atmosphere at King Edward Park.

The 11th edition of Newcastle Beer Fest will mark a new chapter for the popular annual event following its acquisition earlier this year by Dr Jerry Schwartz, owner of the internationally acclaimed GABS Festival and a range of major hospitality and events businesses.

Independent Craft Beer Takes Centre Stage

Newcastle Beer Fest celebrates Australia's independent craft beer industry by bringing together a curated selection of local and interstate breweries.

The 2027 festival will feature more than 30 breweries, with exhibitors limited to independent breweries. Confirmed breweries already include Zig Zag Brewery, Sydney Brewery, The Coastal Brewing and Spudd Wiser Beer, with further breweries expected to join the lineup.

Festival-goers can sample a wide range of independent beers while enjoying live music, gourmet food vendors and other festival activities in the picturesque surroundings of King Edward Park.

Early Bird tickets are now on sale for $64.90, providing a $10 saving on the on-the-day ticket price. A limited allocation is available at this special price.

Each Early Bird ticket includes entry to Newcastle Beer Fest, 10 x 100ml beer tasting tokens and a commemorative tasting cup, as well as access to the participating independent breweries, food vendors, live entertainment and festival activities.

With GABS now managing Newcastle Beer Fest, organisers are bringing more than two decades of experience in creating food, wine and craft beer events to the Newcastle celebration.

The festival joins GABS-associated community events including the Canberra Beer & Cider Festival and Hunter Valley Wine & Beer Festival, creating opportunities to showcase local producers while attracting visitors to regional destinations.
