The 33rd edition of Arabian Travel Market (ATM) highlighted the changing face of global tourism, with aviation, hospitality, rail, technology, destinations and digital innovation all featuring prominently across the four-day event.
Global Tourism Leaders Gather in Dubai
ATM 2026 attracted tourism authorities, airlines, transport providers, hotels, technology companies and travel professionals from major international markets including the UAE, India, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, United Kingdom, Egypt, Kuwait, Oman, Jordan, Türkiye, Bahrain, South Africa, Qatar, the United States and China.
The event provided a major platform for tourism businesses and destination representatives to meet travel buyers, develop partnerships and explore opportunities across the rapidly changing international travel market.
Dubai once again provided the setting for an event focused on international connectivity and the future direction of tourism.

The UAE Grand Tour was also unveiled, offering an online platform designed to encourage visitors to explore the seven emirates through one continuous travel route.
Emirates announced 11 memoranda of understanding during ATM 2026, covering areas including technology, marketing, passenger experiences, products and travel packages.
Hospitality company Rotana also announced an ambitious development pipeline of 40 hotels and more than 8,300 rooms, including 10 projects in Saudi Arabia.
Technology Shapes the Future of Travel
Technology was a major theme at Arabian Travel Market 2026, reflecting the growing influence of artificial intelligence and digital transformation on travel planning and customer experiences.
Mastercard and Trip.com showcased booking experiences powered by the AI agent TripGenie, developed with Network International.
ATM 2026 also featured the debut of the co-located ATM Travel Tech show, with floorspace dedicated to technology doubling. The focus reflected growing industry interest in artificial intelligence, smart travel, digital booking and personalised traveller experiences.
Air and Rail Connectivity Expands

The proposed collaboration aims to simplify connections between air travel and rail services while supporting Abu Dhabi's role as an international gateway to the wider UAE.
A new Saudi Arabian airline was also announced by a consortium comprising Air Arabia Group, Nesma Group and KUN Holding Company, with operations scheduled to begin on 20 September 2026, connecting Dammam with Riyadh, Madinah and Jeddah.
