Harry Potter fans have more time to discover the magic of Harry Potter: The Exhibition in Sydney, with the popular immersive experience now extended through 31 January 2027 at Paddington Pavilion, Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park.

The extension follows strong demand from Sydney visitors and gives families, Harry Potter fans and curious travellers an opportunity to experience the exhibition during the spring, Christmas and summer holiday seasons. The Sydney exhibition originally opened on 14 May 2026.

Harry Potter: The Exhibition 

I went to see Harry Potter: The Exhibition earlier this year and was impressed with the experience. Even as someone who had not read the Harry Potter books, I found the exhibition engaging and fascinating, particularly the attention to detail in the costumes, props, sets and interactive displays.

The exhibition takes visitors behind the scenes of the Harry Potter films and the wider Wizarding World. Guests can see authentic props and original costumes while exploring environments inspired by memorable locations and characters.

Interactive experiences include practising Quidditch skills, brewing a potion, potting a Mandrake and discovering filmmaking details behind the famous films. Visitors can also explore elements connected with the Fantastic Beasts films and the Tony Award-winning Harry Potter and the Cursed Child stage production.

Harry Potter: The Exhibition 

Designed as a self-guided experience, Harry Potter: The Exhibition combines storytelling, technology and immersive environments to create a journey through more than 25 years of Harry Potter history.

Visitors can step into recognisable settings including Hagrid's Hut and the Cupboard Under the Stairs, discover authentic costumes and props, and participate in interactive activities throughout the exhibition.

The experience generally takes between 60 and 90 minutes, making it an easy addition to a Sydney Olympic Park day out.

Tickets for Additional Sessions Now On Sale

Harry Potter: The Exhibition 

Additional sessions are now available, with timed-entry tickets starting at $33 for adults, including booking and ticketing fees, although prices are subject to change. Flex and VIP ticket options are also available for visitors wanting greater flexibility.

Harry Potter: The Exhibition is located at Paddington Pavilion, Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park, with entry via Olympic Boulevard. The venue is accessible by public transport, including the T7 Olympic Park Line.

With the Sydney season now extended until 31 January 2027, visitors have additional opportunities to experience this celebration of the Harry Potter films and the wider Wizarding World.
