Opened on 26 August 2023, it is the first time in 75 years since a new tram was introduced in Japan! 

The Utsunomiya Light Rail looks stylish and sleek, adding a futuristic element to the Utsunomiya streets. 

Aside from its chic appearance, it is designed to offer its passengers a comfortable trip across the city. 

The low floor design allows elderly and disabled passengers easier access while producing less vibration and noise than regular trams!
