Destination NSW is partnering with the Qantas Group to bring thousands more interstate visitors to regional NSW.
The Aviation Attraction Fund (AAF) will support increased inbound interstate airline seats on Qantas and Jetstar routes into Albury, Merimbula, Newcastle and Wagga Wagga.
The partnership will support more than 86,000 inbound seats, injecting almost $12 million into the regional NSW economy.
Regional NSW will welcome visitors from Adelaide, Brisbane, Cairns and Melbourne via the routes who will support local businesses including accommodation providers, hospitality venues, retailers and tourism operators.
Newcastle Airport CEO Dr Peter Cock said: “New routes mean growth and employment opportunities and most importantly, greater connectivity for the people of our region."
