The Surrey Hills Spring Festival

The first Surrey Hills Spring Festival (25 and 26 March 2023) will be a weekend festival celebrating the onset of spring and bringing together the the English county of Surrey's food, drink, art and crafts.

The festival will be held at the Rural Life Living Museum in Tilford.

Those attending can enjoy a wide range of activities, including traditional country crafts, live music, art demonstrations, local food vendors and outdoor woodland activities.

The Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty 

The Surrey Hills, is one of 46 nationally protected landscapes in the UK, having equal landscape status and protection to a national park.

One of the first areas in the UK to be designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), takes in the North Downs from Farnham to Oxted and includes the Greensand Hills which rise in Haslemere and stretch east to Leith Hill, the highest point in South East England.

It has some of south east England’s most beautiful and accessible countryside and beauty spots including Box Hill, Leith Hill and the Devil’s Punch Bowl.

There is an extensive network of footpaths, byways and bridleways.

The Rural Life Living Museum

The Rural Life Living Museum has a collection of re-located historic buildings along with one of the largest collections of agricultural implements and objects from everyday life.

The museum produces and hosts a range of special events, from the annual Village Fete and Vintage Revival through to Weyfest.
