Visitors are being encouraged to embrace the milder weather and follow a local wine trail, dine in a vineyard, enjoy a picnic by a river, pull up a seat at a local pub, browse a gallery or join a walking trail through noted colonial, federation and Victorian buildings.
Yass Valley is home to the Canberra District Wine Region and has over 40 vineyards and 28 cellar doors within reach.
April is an ideal time to explore the region with food and wine events running throughout including the Harvest Hamper Trail Makers of Murrumbateman from 27-28 April.
