45 Performances Make It the Biggest Jazz by the Bay Yet!

Find the groove that suits you best at this year's Jazz by the Bay. With 45 individual performances, there is something to suit every taste and tempo.

The full program has now been released, and there is a raft of jazz talent from Perth, interstate, and overseas as well as some great local acts warming up to perform in Dunsborough, Busselton and Margaret River over the June long weekend (31 May to 3 June).

Sublime dining & hot jazz

For those who love some tasty food with their hot jazz, check out Ali Bodycoat's Soiree at Clairault Streicker, Cathrine Summers Trio performing a Night in Paris at Studio Bistro & Gallery, Jessie Gordon Swing and Seafood at Cape Lodge, and the Holli Scott Trio at Rustico's Euro Jazz Club.

Foot stomping faves
Get your dancing shoes on for fun times with Adam Hall & the Velvet Playboys at Caves Road Collective; head to Swing spectacular with Jus Jump at Clancy's Fish Pub; Do Jessie Gordon Dirty Jazz at Clancy's Fish Pub; and don't miss Amy, Amy, Amy – The Amy Winehouse Experience at Settlers Tavern.

Get me some serious jazz!
The serious jazz lovers should pencil in Chris McNulty Quartet at the Old Dunsborough Jazz Hall; and the Tom O'Halloran Trio at Clancy's Fish Pub.

Lovers of a jazz jam shouldn't miss Tom O'Halloran Trio featuring Pete Jeavons and Daniel Susnjar in a one-off colab between Perth and local artists. There's limited spaces for this melting-pot behind-the-scenes experience.

Jazz meets art in a performance art show at Studio Bistro with Nerissa Campbell and the Breakout Lights performing, while renowned artist Peter Kendall paints what he feels from the live music.

Flip your lid with the huge list of free events:
  • Hang out On The Green in Dunsborough on Saturday and Sunday from 10am with performances by Festival headline acts;
  • Catch roving legends the HOOTs at Vasse Village;
  • Check out emerging artists from WAAPA - the Formes Jazz Collective performing jazz classics by the King of Swing Benny Goodman and leading American Jazz Clarinetist Buddy Defranco. They're at Bootleg Brewery on Saturday, Caves House on Sunday and roaming Dunsborough across the weekend.

Catch So What – Funk Edition at Bootleg Brewery; get a serve of gypsy jazz by Perth trio Sinti Jazz over brunch at Rivendell Winery Restaurant. Visit the Domaine Naturaliste Cellar door, enjoy wine tasting and nibbles while the Melissa Tuoma Trio entertain. Book a table for tapas and enjoy tunes at Rustico at Hayshed Hill by Michelle Spriggs Trio, Allira Wilson & Freddie Grigson, and The Sets.

All-weekend venues
There's a great mix of high energy and acoustic national, Perth and local talent all weekend, day and night, at Caves House Hotel, Rustico at Hayshed Hill, Settlers Tavern and Dunsborough Tavern.

Workshops for singers and guitarists
Budding performers will love the vocals and guitar workshop with Freddie Grigson and Allira Wilson. Limited places and bookings essential.
