Summer = Sydney Festival!

Sydney Festival never fails to bring Sydney alive (not that it needs the boost) with an eclectic line up of live music, theatre shows and art installations! With hundreds of options here are a few of the highlights.

Festival Garden
8 - 27 January 2019
Hyde Park North
The Sydney Festival Garden in Hyde Park is a great place to head to experience the atmosphere of the festival! Enjoy a drink and a feast from a number of stalls. There's also ticketed shows in the Magic Mirrors Spiegeltent, plus free performances and DJs every night.

Silent Disco
11, 18, 25 January
State Library of NSW
A party in the library = a silent disco..genius! Pop on your headphones, turn up the tunes and dance the night away. Special guest Dj's will be spinning the latest tracks for you to strut away too. Licensed bars will be available on the 11th & 25th January. The 18th will be open for all, so bring the kids along and make it a family occasion!

Heliosphere - The Dream Engine
11-13 January
Prince Alfred Square, Parramatta
Picture this...twenty metres above the crowd, a giant, glowing lunar balloon filled with helium floating around. Cool right? But wait...suspended from it is a talented aerialist like a marionette performing elaborate tricks, turns, and twists, occasionally dropping down to the crowd to shake hands and high five!

Moon Drops at Darling Harbour
9 - 28 January
Darling Harbour
Darling Harbour will play home to five bouncy pads for you to try out your best moon dancing moves. It has been said that bouncing around on these is similar to the defying gravity moments experienced on the moon. Suitable for the whole family and guaranteed to provide plenty of giggles!

Fly Me To The Moon At World Square
8 - 27 January
World Square, 644 George Street
A city-wide epic challenge has been put in place in honour of celebrating 50 years since the first landing on the moon. To achieve this challenge the city needs you to jump on your bike and help cycle 384,400km. That's the total distance to the moon. Join in on the action and head to World Square where you can ride away on the wild 'flying bike' sculpture
