PI MAI (LAO NEW YEAR), A CELEBRATION WITHOUT BORDERS

Our international team is composed of Lao, French, Spanish, English, German, Belgian and American staff. Pi Mai is the perfect occasion to bring the ECC family together for this major cultural event in Laos.

Every year, the New Year's celebrations take place with our whole team, and of course the elephants. During this auspicious event, a 'Baci' ceremony ('recalling the souls') is performed for both staff and elephants to wish good luck for the forthcoming year.

This year, we were happy to welcome members of the provincial government as well. The provincial government has supported our project since the beginning and they were proud to be part of this traditional ceremony.
