MERCEDES-BENZ FASHION WEEK AUSTRALIA SECURED BY NSW UNTIL 2021

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia
Sydney, the nation’s fashion capital, will continue to be the home of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia (MBFWA) for another three years, Minister for Tourism and Major Events Adam Marshall has announced.

Mr Marshall said fashion is an important industry for NSW, employing around 77,000 people and generating retail sales of more than $9 billion.

“Over the next three years, we anticipate MBFWA will attract more than 8,000 visitors and generate around $10 million in visitor spend for NSW,” Mr Marshall said.

“Our support for MBFWA showcases Sydney’s iconic locations to the world and ensures Aussie designers continue to have access to a global audience of buyers, press and consumers each year.”

The NSW Government has secured MBFWA until 2021. In 2019, MBFWA and MBFWA Weekend Edition will take place from 12-18 May.
