PIE TIME KICKS OFF IN THE SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS

The Southern Highlands extended a warm welcome to the NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian last week when she visited the region ahead of the inaugural Pie Time festival.

Throughout the month of June, the Southern Highlands is celebrating the great Aussie pie with a mouth-watering calendar of events.

Visitors can enjoy a huge range of pie-themed experiences and events, including the Southern Highlands’ Pie Trail, a pie festival, a regional pie competition, pie cooking classes, pie-themed tours, and more.

The region will also host the Pie Time Festival on 24-25 June when the inaugural Southern Highlands Best Pie Competition will crown the region’s best locally made pies and bakers. The festival will feature pie tasting, local food, wine, beer and cider stands, cooking demonstrations, pie eating competitions, and loads of family friendly entertainment. There will also be a fun pie throwing competition with prizes.

A number of accommodation providers are also offering ‘pie-cations’ with special short break travel packages available.

Visit the Destination Southern Highlands website for more information.
