The Duxton Hotel Saigon is a luxury boutique 4 star hotel located right in the heart of vibrant Ho Chi Minh City. It offers guests a refined and relaxing environment for business and leisure travellers alike.

Duxton Hotel Saigon is conveniently located on the recently upgraded wide Nguyen Hue Boulevard and offers a total of 191 rooms. There are four distinctive room types to choose from: 135 Deluxe Rooms (30m2); 46 Club Rooms (30m2); 6 Club Suites (55m2) and 4 Apartments (95m2 over two levels). Furnished with contemporary Vietnamese artwork and traditional fabrics, each room offers a warm and comfortable environment for the discerning travellers.

When I visited Ho Cho Minh City recently I enjoyed staying at the Duxton Hotel Saigon. Checkin was smooth and helped by the friendly reception staff in the impressive lobby. 

Deluxe Room

My Deluxe Room was elegant in design and I made use of the cable 32 inch LED TV, coffee and tea making facilities, in room safe, iron and ironing board, work desk with lamp, in-room safe deposit box and individually controlled A/C.  

Other ammenities that were provided, but I did not use on this occasion, were a well stocked mini-bar, hair dryer and 24-hour room service.

It was good to have free Wifi/cable internet in my room. Wifi internet is complimentary in all rooms, the Busines Centre, Function rooms, The Bar and The Grill.

The large marble bathroom had a shower over the full sized bath and toilet. Thoughtful touches were the provision of bathrobes, slippers, and a good range of toiletries on the marble vanity. 

Deluxe Room

A good nights sleep was had on the pillow top bed that had clean fresh linen. Even though Ho Chi Minh City is a very busy city, the room was very quite to sleep in.

Club rooms and Club Suites also include additional benefits as well as an access to The Club Lounge. I was fortunate to make use of the Club Lounge and appreciated the drinks and snacks it provided as I completed some work on my laptop.

The Duxton Hotel Saigon is proud to offer its guests a wide range of facilities to meet all their needs, including 24-hour reception and 24-hour room service, dry cleaning, laundry & valet, and a tour desk with travel service, tour booking and airline reservations. The Business Centre, on the Ground Level, offers confidential secretarial services, office facilities, photocopying, facsimile, and personal computers with internet free of charge and e-mail access.

The Grill

The Duxton Hotel Saigon offers a number of eating & drinking options for those needing a hearty breakfast before a busy day, entertaining business clients, or relaxing after a hard day's sightseeing.

The Grill is a smart casual restaurant located on the ground floor. It offers a daily buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. Both the a la carte and buffet menus offer a wide range of Asian and Western dishes created by The Duxtons innovative, adventurous chef and prepared by his talented kitchen team using high-quality ingredients sourced both locally and internationally. 

The Grill

I enjoyed my Breakfast buffet each morning and appreciated the wide range of hot and cold fresh food and drinks available. The highlight for me was the Seafood Dinner buffet served in the evening. It featured many types of seafood such as fresh salmon, lobster, prawns and fish. However, seafood was just one of the many types of food on offer. There was various types of meats, salads, vegetables, pasta, rice and soups. For me, the best part of the buffet meal was the extensive range of desserts offered. As I have a sweet tooth, I had more helpings of dessert that I really should have, including 6 servings of their delicious homemade ice-cream.

The Breakfast buffet is served 6:30am to 10:15am, Lunch buffet from 11:30am to 2:15pm and Dinner buffet from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. A la carte service is available 6:00am to 10:30pm. 

The cosy Lobby Bar is the perfect spot for a relaxed business meeting, afternoon tea, sundowner, or an after-dinner nightcap. In the afternoon they serve Afternoon Tea featuring a range of sandwiches and confectionery, and in the evening people can enjoy live piano music with their drinks.

Guests can enjoy the secluded ambience of the outdoor pool and relax in the sun with a cold drink on the pool deck. 

Outdoor pool

The pool is located right next to the hotel's well equipped gym. The gym contains various pieces of equipment and a range of free weights to help people keen on being fit keep in shape. These are free for hotel guests to use. 

The Spa, located on the 3rd floor, offers a relaxing environment with foot & body massage, sauna, steam bath, manicure & pedicure. Whether your stay at the hotel is for business or leisure, it's a delightful way to wind down at the end of the day, or anytime.

The Duxton Hotel Saigon is situated at 63 Nguyen Hue Boulevard, which stretches from the Saigon River to the Ho Chi Minh City Hall. In the evenings the Boulevard comes to life with crowds of people strolling, sitting, and even dancing and singing. People gather to watch the coloured fountains come to life at different times during each evening.

Gym

The hotel is within easy walking distance of many of the city's most famous attractions including Ben Thanh Market, the Opera house, the Hotel de Ville, and the Saigon River. The hotel is also ideally located for guests who want to experience the city's bustling nightlife, from "cheap and cheerful" street food vendors and cafes to chic, cosmopolitan nightclubs and lounge bars. There are plenty of clothing, art, crafts, electronic and souvenir shops to explore in the nearby streets.
