The BIG4 Koala Shores Holiday Park, Port Stephens, took out the top ‘Parks’ gong in the NSW Caravan & Camping Industry Association Awards.
The awards, announced this week, showcase amazing holiday parks and residential communities, quality dealerships and service providers, and NSW manufacturing excellence.
President of Caravan & Camping Industry Association of NSW Theo Whitmont said NSW is the most popular caravan and camping destination in Australia.
“Each year we have an amazing line-up of entries for our Awards of Excellence program, and it really shows just what fantastic caravan, camping and land lease living experiences that we have here in NSW,” he said.
“BIG4 Koala Shores is a prime example of excellence in a holiday park, with a huge range of cabins and camping sites and exceptional facilities that include beautiful pool areas, a cafe, tennis courts, mini golf, boat and go kart hire and a kids club.
“They have also taken out the award for Best Deluxe or Resort Style Park, further recognising the high level of amenity BIG4 Koala Shores provides.”
Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events Stuart Ayres said the state attracted more than 2.2 million domestic caravan and camping visitors each year, the majority of which travel here for holiday or leisure purposes.
