BE A CULTURE VULTURE – DAMIEN HIRST, THE NEW 'GRAND TOUR', BLOCKBUSTER SHOWS AND OSCAR WILDE

The brand new Damien Hirst gallery will get arts fans visiting London's Vauxhall in Spring next year.

Hirst's personal collection will be displayed in dedicated state-of-the-art galleries, showing work by Francis Bacon, Jeff Koons and Banksy.

The north of England will be abuzz with the new HOME arts centre and revamped Whitworth Art Gallery in Manchester, while a contemporary reinterpretation of The Grand Tour will put Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire on the arts agenda.

Hull prepares for its year as City of Culture 2017 with cultural activities and events, while Glasgow in Scotland will host the prestigious Turner Prize.

Over in Northern Ireland's beautiful Enniskillen, the first 'Wilde Weekend', devoted to Oscar Wilde, will take place in May next year.

And from Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty at the Victoria and Albert Museum to a Jackson Pollock retrospective at Tate Liverpool, there are blockbuster exhibitions to watch out for too.
