Visitors were offered an opportunity to enjoy folk singing, panpipe dance, martial arts performances and traditional rituals of Dao ethnic people.
They were also invited to visit wine cellars to learn more about the wine-making methods of the locals, sip wine made by them and taste traditional dishes such as pig roast and barbecued chicken.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Be Thi Thu Hien said that the festival is designed as a new tourism product of Lang Son province in response to the Ministry’s call to promote domestic tourism in each locality.
She also expressed her hope that the event will leave a good impression on visitors of the land and people there.
Spreading over Mau Son and Cong Son communes in Cao Loc district and Mau Son commune in Loc Binh district, Mau Son tourist site sits at an average of 800-1,100 metres above the sea.
It attracts visitors not only due to its spectacular landscape and clean atmosphere but also the unique cultural space of indigenous groups living there including Dao, Nung and Tay.
