Ha Long greets nearly 1,600 maritime tourists

On September 23rd, Ha Long City in the northern province of Quang Ninh received international, high-end, cruise ship Superstar Virgo, bringing nearly 1,600 foreign tourists to the city.

The tourists were mainly from the Republic of Korea, Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong (China) with the remaing 500 of Indian nationality.

Saigontourist, Quang Ninh, who received and organised the tours for the tourists said that they visited Ha Long Bay and other destinations such as Bai Chay market and Hoang Gia park.

The luxury cruise ship left the city on the same day.

Recently, in spite of the impact from the global economic downturn, international cruise ship tourism has been busy in Ha Long with visits of high-end cruise ships with fixed routes and others from new markets.
