Grand Hyatt Macau Hosts the Corporate Event of the Year -Three Parties in one Multi-Sensory Extravaganza

Macau was abuzz with glamour, excitement and party allure on 1 November 2013 as VIP guests gathered at Grand Hyatt Macau for an event to remember. The corporate appreciation party took guests on a journey of sensory indulgence defined by different venues, ambiences and entertainment. It was attended by more than 1,200 specially invited guests, including dignitaries from the owning company Melco Crown Entertainment, City of Dreams and Hyatt Hotels Corporation, business partners, frequent customers, plus high-profile media from Macau and Hong Kong.

Anticipation had been building for the grand event since guests received an exclusive gift delivery in October. The gift box contained three enchanting fragrances specially created for the event. Included with the fragrances was a party invite for up to four guests.

Glamorously attired guests arriving for Sunset Cocktail at the third-floor pool terrace were met by a truly dazzling sight. The entire terrace had been transformed into a custom designed fun and food fiesta, featuring distinct flavours and design for each outlet. Lining each side of the 40-metre swimming pool were glowing blocks of carved ice weighing a total of 30 tons.

The evening was divided into three time periods, each represented by a different colour: orange, green and yellow. As the sun went down, guests enjoyed alcoholic jellies coordinated in sunset colours. Open bars showcased hundreds of premium spirits and wines, including more than 50 different labels each of wine, beer, whisky and sake, plus a selection of Chinese spirits and fine cigars.

The Sunset Cocktail was followed by the second session of the evening's journey - a Sumptuous Banquet by the Pool. An abundant seafood selection featuring freshly-shucked oysters, lobsters, scallops, crab legs and clams was served atop the poolside ice blocks. The Japanese kitchen had also prepared two whole blue-fin tuna, weighing 35 kilograms each.

Twelve elevated dining podiums flanked each side of the pool, each featuring a different culinary theme, including Raclette & Champagne; Ham & Wine; Japanese Sushi & Sake; Foie Gras and Roast Quail; Garoupa & Abalone Rice; Asian Wok & Beer; Dim Sum & Noodles; Kebab & Steak Sandwiches; Satay & Tandoori; and Ice Cream & Desserts. Guests could also dine and lounge in the furnished podiums, while connoisseurs could enjoy the standalone Cigar and Cocktail Bar.

The party wasn't over after the banquet - in fact, it was just beginning. The final part of the journey saw guests move into the Outdoor Marquee - one of the biggest hotel marquees in Macau - which had been transformed into a Club to Chill Out. The alluring club setting was adorned with velvet and leopard skin prints. Special coloured lighting effects created different moods from night to dawn and a live DJ kept the party pumping. For guests that had arrived after the banquet, a late-night supper had also been prepared.

As Grand Hyatt Macau celebrated its corporate appreciation party, the hotel was bestowed several top honours at prestigious travel awards ceremonies across the region. At the Business Traveller Asia Pacific 2013 Awards, Grand Hyatt Macau was named 'Best Business Hotel in Macau' for the third consecutive year.

The Grand Hyatt brand was awarded 'Best Business Hotel Brand in the World' at the same awards. Alongside Grand Hyatt Macau, five sister properties were also recognised as 'Best Business Hotel' in their respective cities, namely Park Hyatt Beijing, Park Hyatt Saigon, Park Hyatt Sydney, Grand Hyatt Jakarta and Grand Hyatt Melbourne. General Manager Mr Paul Kwok accepted the award on behalf of the hotel at the ceremony held in Hong Kong on 27 September.

Grand Hyatt Macau was also honoured as 'Best City Hotel - Macau' at the 2013 TTG Travel Awards announced on 3 October in Bangkok. It is the second consecutive year Grand Hyatt Macau has held this title.
