Peru’s Corporate Travel Market Expected to Increase by 15% in 2014

Peru
Peru’s corporate travel market is expected to increase by 15 per cent in 2014, driven by the economic growth of the Andean country, according to leading corporate travel management company FCm Travel Solutions.

Maren Hanschke, director of FCm Travel Solutions’ network in Latin America, said that Peru’s economic stability, growing domestic consumption and its many international trade agreements will contribute to this rise.

“Lima is a key hub for major business events as more and more people arrive in the country to accomplish their business goals and, at the same time, enjoy the local tourist attractions,” she said.Hanschke noted that only 600,000 of the 2.5 million tourists who visited Peru in 2012 were leisure travellers, “the rest came for business purposes.”

“Peru seizes the opportunities of the tourism industry with marketing campaigns to position itself as an attractive destination for both public and private sectors,” Hanschke said during the launch of FCm’s partnership with Peruvian travel agency AC Tours on Tuesday.
