There are many and varied tourist attraction in the city of Wagga Wagga in the Riverina district of NSW Australia. It has the claim of fame of being the the largest regional inland city in NSW. The Botanic Gardens with the Zoo, free-flight aviary, playgrounds and Miniature Railway is popular with families. The Civic Theatre presents various local and visiting shows and concerts. The Art Gallery and the National Art Glass Collection is outstanding. For history buffs the Museum of the Riverina and the RAAF Wagga Heritage Centre are worth checking out.
We have visited Wagga several times in the past two years to visit our son who is studying at the Charles Sturt University. On this occasion rather than staying in a cabin in a local caravan park as we have done before, we decided to stay at one of the local hotels. After looking at various hotel websites we chose the Townhouse Hotel Wagga and were not disappointed by our choice.
The Townhouse is centrally located in the CBD so is in handy walking distance to the main street cafes, restaurants, shops and the Big W and K Mart mall shopping centres. Even though central it is not noisy - a wonderful nights sleep was had with no noise interfering with our sleep.
Nearby is the Oasis Aquatic Centre. A complimentary pass to this indoor heated pool leisure complex is included with a stay a the Townhouse.
Our guest room was on the third floor with access by a lift or stairs. The room was huge, with a huge comfortable bed, flat-screen TV, 2-seater lounge and two lounge chairs, table, writing desk and chair, wardrobe and mini-bar. The bathroom was huge. Best of all was the cleanliness of the recently renovated modern guest room. I notice that a laundry was available for guest use.
There a variety of rooms to chose from, including standard, deluxe, executive suites, executive spa suites, terrace suites and apartments. The Oakroom Kitchen and Bar provides hearty breakfasts and a range of dinner dishes.
We enjoyed our stay at the Townhouse Hotel Wagga so much that we will stay there again next year when we visit Wagga Wagga once again.
