Get Into Gear for 2013 ChromeFest

Hot-rod enthusiasts, vintage fashion lovers, retro revheads, rock and rollers and anyone who loves to have good clean fun will join in the fun of the 2013 ChromeFest, held from Friday 25 to Sunday 27 October.

The Entrance will come alive for three-days during the annual ChromeFest. Showcasing rock and roll entertainment, classic American autos and hot rods, low rider bicycles, dance groups plus over 40 retro market stalls, this year’s Chromefest has something for everyone.

“Last year, 55,000 visitors attended ChromeFest, of which 19,140 came from outside the area, staying an average three nights, and contributing $8,211, 060 to the local community,” Member for The Entrance, Chris Spence said.

“Bring the whole family and make a day of it – this is a great occasion for our community, which will benefit not only by the heightened tourism into our beautiful regions, but also through increased economic benefits the festival will bring.”

ChromeFest organisers are expecting thousands of people at The Entrance on Friday 25, Saturday 26 and Sunday 26 October, so join in the fun at this free event at Memorial Park, The Entrance.

Don’t miss the exciting ‘Show and Shine’ Car Show from 9am on the Sunday with over 450 cars expected to be on display. Over the weekend, entertainment will be held throughout The Entrance and at local venues in the area and there will also be a Street Cruise and a Garage Crawl.

Minister for Major Events and Tourism, George Souris said: “The NSW Government, through its tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW, is pleased to support regional events such as ChromeFest as part of the 2013 Regional Flagship Program.

Destination NSW CEO Sandra Chipchase said: “Destination NSW is proud to support ChromeFest.

“Visitors to the festival should also make time to explore the beautiful beaches, lake and countryside around The Entrance, which has long been a favourite holiday destination for holidaymakers from here and around the world.”
