The annual event, now in its fifth year, will be joined by the six northern provinces of Bac Kan, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang.
The programme will include a su rvey of tourism potential in the six provinces, a seminar to discuss developing tours connecting the provinces with Hanoi, and an exhibition on the region’s culinary traditions.
Artistic performances and sporting events will also take place.
The event is expected to promote the region and its people, while attracting more tourists and investors to the area.
Thai Nguyen province will host the event in 2014.
