Early next year, the Sunshine Coast will be beamed in almost 2.3 million households across Australia, during the prime time slot of 7.30pm.

Into Water and Beyond, an adventure and lifestyle travel series focusing on enjoyable, often unique experiences, was in the region filming last week. In addition to a TV Broadcast, the episode will be distributed digitally on an online travel video channel, and on YouTube, reaching a large international audience.

Filming is an initiative organised by Sunshine Coast Destination Ltd (SCDL), and participating operators Go Wake Cable Park, The Ginger Factory, Noosa Dreamboats, The Ultimate Thrillride, Aussie World, UnderWater World, and Fish 'n Crab Deep Sea Charters.

SCDL CEO Steve Cooper said, "The program will not only showcase the Sunshine Coast's natural assets but the many experiences the region has to offer. "

"Travel shows are a tried and true formula for showcasing products to a wide audience, and with the incorporation of social media and online distribution, the Sunshine Coast will reach far and wide," Mr Cooper said.

Into Water and Beyond Business Development Executive Dianne Costa said she was not only impressed with the professionalism of the tourism operators they had filmed, but appreciated how friendly and accommodating they had been.

The Ultimate Thrillride,
She said they like to allow plenty of time to film and experience the local accommodation, restaurants and attractions and get into the local vibe of the place.

Go Wake Cable Park owner Des Dougherty said filming went well and he hoped his business would benefit from the exposure of the travel and lifestyle show.
