Delta Goodrem at Madame Tussauds Sydney

Delta Goodrem
Only days before Madame Tussauds opens its doors, much loved Aussie sweetheart, Delta Goodrem, quite literally saw double as she was introduced to her wax self at Madame Tussauds Sydney for the very first time.

Delta, most notably known for her unprecedented musical achievements which continue with her new single 'Sitting On Top Of The World', will be hosted in the A-List section of the attraction alongside the likes of Dannii Minogue, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Lady Gaga.

Upon coming face-to-face with herself, Delta commented, "Wow. I simply can't describe how surreal this experience is. I'm astounded by the likeness; the Madame Tussauds team have done such a fantastic job. The detail is incredible - everything down to the colour of my eyes, the shape of my teeth and the positioning of my hair. It really is an honour to be a part of Madame Tussauds Sydney."

Delta donated the flowing blue tone dress that she wore when she performed during her Visualise Tour, "It brings back happy memories from one of my favourite tours and I'm so happy to have such a proud moment of my career immortalised in an Australian hall of fame" Delta continued.

A talented team of over 60 artists and sculptors spent over 800 hours to create Delta's wax figure. Using the exact same measurements of Delta's eyeball, pupil and iris, her beautiful ocean blue eyes were created from a sample of over 200 different variations. What's more, in order to keep the wax figures up to date, each one is made using real human hair to enable the artists to wash, cut and restyle where necessary.

Kristy Enright, Madame Tussauds spokesperson commented, "Delta is such a talented icon and a tribute to Australia. We're delighted that she will be joining our A-List line-up here in Sydney. The wax figure is so lifelike - you can really see the level of time and dedication that has been invested by the Madame Tussauds team to recreate her. One thing is for sure, Delta's fans won't be disappointed when they see Delta for the first time next week."
