The ultimate four-course Sunshine progressive dinner, Sunshine Food Fever will take you on a food journey that celebrates Sunshine as one of the most culturally – and gastronomically – diverse places in Australia. Sunshine Food Fever is a unique experience of food, culture and place reflecting the communities that have called Sunshine home over the last ten years.
Your food journey begins by meeting local Kiwi Ka Bakers who have transformed the humble Australian staple – the meat pie – into a range of pies, including vegan, reflecting Sunshine's tastes, at the same time receiving national awards and accolades.
Then meet head cooks from three restaurants as they take you behind-the-scenes, presenting dishes celebrating their family, history and place. Sample North Vietnamese dry pho (a dry version of Vietnamese noodle soup) and salads, followed by a traditional Ethiopian or Indian banquet, all reflecting the communities that have called Sunshine home over the last ten years.
Sunshine Food Fever finishes with a taste of the future – Afghan sweets and drinks from our newest community.
