Have you heard of Monjayaki?

It is one of Tokyo’s most popular local food, a savoury pancake similar to Okonomiyaki but has a thinner batter.

A common way monjayaki is served in a restaurant is to have diners cook it on their own griddle and add in the sauces, spices, and seaweed provided.

Special tiny metal spatulas are then used to scoop the tasty dish and eaten straight off the griddle.

“Monja Street” on Tsukishima in Tokyo Bay is home to over 70 monjayaki restaurants and for something unique, diners can board a special monja boat and dine while cruising around Odaiba.
