The Bite LA (through Nov. 1, 2020)
Described as a "Halloween Food Crawl & Creature Safari," The Bite LA snakes its way around Legg Lake and through immersive environments, where you'll be served delicious Bites of seasonal grub from the safety of your own car. Bites range from savory to sweet and include vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Highlights of the one-hour experience include the Flashlight Creature Safari and Campfire Ghost Stories - listen to scary tales at the Virtual Campfire with a special campfire dessert and your choice of hot cocoa, hot apple cider or coffee. "Spook-up your ride" and you'll be automatically entered in the Car Costume Contest with a chance to win fun prizes throughout the season.

Tickets are on sale at The Bite LA website. Each ticket includes eight Bites per person in your vehicle, along with a Campfire Dessert and a warm Fall Drink. Additional Bites may be purchased.

Electric Dusk Drive-In (through Nov. 1, 2020)
Electric Dusk Drive-In hosts a month of weekend double features at the former location of the historic Sears in Glendale:
  • Oct. 23: A Nightmare on Elm Street/A Nightmare on Elm Street 3
  • Oct. 24: Ghostbusters/Beetlejuice
  • Oct. 30: Friday the 13th/Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter
Sundays feature family-friendly movies: Hocus Pocus (Oct. 11), The Addams Family (Oct. 18), The Nightmare Before Christmas (Oct. 25), and Coco (Nov. 1).

Double feature pricing is $37 per car (includes one person) and $12 for each additional person. Pre-packaged popcorn, snacks, beverages and candy are available for purchase.

Halloween at Descanso (through Oct. 31, 2020)
Taking place throughout October, Halloween at Descanso is a pumpkin-filled extravaganza that invites guests to safely wind their way through socially-distanced, pumpkin-themed displays in the most popular sections of Descanso Gardens. Highlights include:
  • Main Lawn - Pumpkin house and children’s hay maze
  • Camellia Forest - Pumpkin arch and scarecrows
  • Oak Grove - Pumpkin mandalas
Children 14 and under are invited to wear their costumes – and masks – as they explore and enjoy autumn in the Gardens. The Kitchen at Descanso will serve up warm, fall-inspired drinks and soups, along with seasonal favorites such as caramel corn and churros. On Halloween Night, extended hours will be reserved for Descanso members at the Family Plus level and above.

Halloween Open Air Museum Experience (Oct. 31, 2020)
Located at Van Nuys Airport, the Valley Relics Museum is home to a massive collection of San Fernando Valley artifacts, including neon signs, classic cars, rare documents, yearbooks, restaurant menus, art, western clothing, vintage BMX bicycles, a playable retro arcade and much more.

On Halloween Night, the museum is hosting a fun-filled Open Air Museum Experience from 6pm to 10pm. The hangar doors will remain open and there will be an outdoor pop-up food patio and bar.

The Haunted Barnyard (select dates Oct. 22 - Nov. 6, 2020)
The acclaimed animal sanctuary, The Gentle Barn presents The Haunted Barnyard, a terrifying immersive experience curated by artists from SoCal's top theme park events, including Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights, Six Flags Magic Mountain Fright Fest, and Knott's Scary Farm. Before you ask, The Gentle Barn says, "This event is NOT happening among the animals and our animals will not be frightened or affected!”

As you're guided by ghostly audio with sound effects in the safety of your own vehicle, you'll see if you can escape from the Funhouse, journey through the Zombie Infested Graveyard, enter the Insane Asylum, find your way out of the Haunted Woods, navigate the Ghostly Maze, and more.

Tickets are $28 per person for Standard (minimum two, total based on number of people in the car) and $60/person for VIP Access. Proceeds benefit The Gentle Barn, its rescued animals, and mission of connecting animals with children in need.

Haunted Museum at Home: Slime Lab (Oct. 24, 2020)

The Natural History Museum is materializing in your home for a virtual Haunted Museum at Home: Slime Lab. Explore the science of slime with a live Spider Q&A, the museum's pumpkin-carving paleontologist, a slime story competition between mad scientists, sticky science demonstrations, and many more gooey surprises.

Haunt’oween LA (Oct. 9-31, 2020)
Experiential Supply presents Haunt'oween LA, a family-friendly drive-thru experience open daily in Woodland Hills. Highlights include:
  • "Door to Door" Trick or Treating - drive down two streets with live costumed actors coming out of their "homes" with enough candy for everyone.
  • Jack-O-Lantern Tunnel - the 90-foot installation features more than 1,000 pumpkins!

Heritage Square Museum
One of LA's most unique cultural attractions, Heritage Square Museum is hosting outdoor versions of its signature seasonal events. All proceeds will benefit the restoration and preservation work of Heritage Square.

Oh, What a Beautiful Mourning (Oct. 24-25, 2020)
One of the museum's most popular events, the annual Victorian Mourning weekend is being reimagined this year as Oh, What a Beautiful Mourning…An Outdoor Victorian Mourning Faire. Taking place from noon to 5pm on both days, the festivities include spooktacular displays, information booths to learn about Victorian Death Practices & Superstitions, prizes, music and vendors. Highlights include Spirit Photography, Dia de los Muertos, Victorian Spiritualism, Divination, Victorian Mourning Practices, Sigils, Vintage Mourning Attire, Antique Horse Drawn Funeral Hearse, and Character Drawings. Halloween Night Picnic (Oct. 31, 2020)
On Halloween Night, bring your own picnic and enjoy All Hallow's Eve with the living (and possibly the dead). Taking place from 6:30pm to 9:30pm, the Halloween Night Picnic features haunting music, mysterious visitations, and goodie bags. Picnic areas will be marked and will be socially distanced from each other to maintain safety. Tickets at Eventbrite are $40 per person.

Hollywood Forever: The Night Walk (select dates Oct. 9 - Nov. 1, 2020)
Hollywood Forever is renowned as the final resting place of hundreds of Hollywood legends and music icons. The cemetery's in-house tour guide, Katie Bible is hosting The Night Walk series on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from October 9 to November 1. Explore Hollywood Forever in the moonlight and learn about several forgotten stars from the past. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own flashlights, but there will be extras on hand.

LA Zoo Drive-In Movie Nights (Oct. 29 - Nov. 1, 2020)

The LA Zoo presents its first-ever Halloween Drive-In Movie Nights, featuring spooktacular classics and seasonal goodies the whole family can enjoy.

The Zoo’s parking lot will be transformed into a creepy-cool classic drive-in theater offering photo ops, treat bags with candy and fun swag, and devilishly good food available for purchase via mobile ordering. Arrive early for the pre-show video presentation featuring favorite Zoo animals, trivia challenges and more. And get in the spirit by dressing in costume and decorating your vehicle!

Late Night Drive-In (through Oct. 31, 2020)
Now through Halloween Night, enjoy the Late Night Drive-In experience at the Andaz West Hollywood on the legendary Sunset Strip. One of LA's most popular Halloween events is going "off the trail" this year with the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride: Live Drive Up Experience.

Taking place at Bonelli Regional Park in San Dimas, the immersive experience begins with a drive-through creepy All Hallows Lane. The main event at the "Midnight Drive-In Theater" is a multimedia story displayed on a 40-foot screen, along with horrifying sets and characters from Midnight Falls that surround the theater and bring the story to life.

Lost Cemeteries of Los Angeles (Oct. 25, 2020)
Discover the history of the four original cemeteries of Los Angeles on a three-mile walking tour:
  • Campo Santo at La Placita Church

The family-friendly Nights of the Jack is a drive-thru Halloween experience with thousands of hand-carved and illuminated Jack O’ Lanterns. Located at King Gillette Ranch in Calabasas, the one-mile driving trail features larger than life pumpkin installations as well as detailed artist depictions of movie stars, sports heroes and animated characters.

Pricing is $69 per vehicle (up to 7 people) with a $20 large vehicle add-on for 8-12 people. No motorcycles, buses, limos or RVs. No food and beverage will be on sale, but guests are allowed to bring their own.

Scarium of the Pacific (Oct 23-25)

Discover the creatures lurking in the depths at the Aquarium of the Pacific during its Scarium-themed weekend. Enjoy spooky décor and creepy creatures as you explore the Aquarium. Everyone is invited to wear family friendly costumes during this event. Islands is providing Kids Free Meal certificates each day of Scarium to the first 200 children in costume as they enter the Aquarium. Advance reservations are required.

Screamfest (through Oct. 15, 2020)
Founded in 2001 by film producers Rachel Belofsky and Ross Martin, Screamfest premieres and showcases new work from American and international independent horror filmmakers. The largest and longest-running horror film festival in the U.S., Screamfest is pivoting its format this year and will be screening classics and exclusive premieres at The Plant Drive-In in Van Nuys. Stranger Things: The Drive-Into Experience (Oct. 28, 2020 - Feb. 28, 2021)
Calling all Stranger Things fans! While everyone eagerly waits for Season 4, you can drive down to the Starcourt Mall for what’s looking like THE event of 1985. You and other Hawkins residents will take part in the town’s biggest drive-into experience, all from the safety of your own vehicle. As you drive, you’ll become part of the gang, reliving some of the best moments from the Netflix series. In a town built on secrets you may be surprised to discover a more sinister truth than you had ever imagined.

Tickets start at $89 per car for Standard Access (based on number of people per car) and includes a one-hour immersive driving experience and access to the Hawkins Online Portal. VIP Access adds a dedicated welcome team, fast track entry, and a "Mystery Box" of swag, snacks and a non-alcoholic drink. The Hawkins Online Portal provides tickets buyers with the backstory to the experience, gives you your character, your dress code, the location and other secrets of Hawkins.

Welcome To HellFest (Oct. 22-31, 2020)
Music meets horror at Welcome to HellFest, taking place on a 42-acre hidden haunted ranch in Sylmar. The experience includes horror mazes, scare zones, scare trail, food vendors, tiki bars, DJs and "killer" music performances. Not recommended for children under 13.

General Admission tickets are $55 and include one-time maze entry. Killer Time ($80) adds unlimited maze access. The RIP Experience is priced at $105 and includes free dinner, drink tickets, and free parking.
