The Ancient Yapahuwa Kingdom in Sri Lanka

Having once been where the Tooth Relic resided, the ancient Yapahuwa Kingdom lying midway between Kurunagala and Anuradhapura was built around a huge granite rock during the 13th century by King Buvanekabahu I. 

One of the most prominent attractions that reside in these timeworn ruins is a fleeting ornamental staircase that lead to a monumental arching doorway and a modern dagoba along with stunning views of the lands below.
