Enter 6 Senses Project to win real Local Thai Travel Experience

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is offering lucky travellers a chance to win the trip of a lifetime with its exclusive ‘6 Senses Project’. This unique promotion highlights six destinations and six authentic Thai experiences for six winners.

Six lucky individuals will be chosen from those who select their most interesting sense. Participants should complete the application process and submit it during the registration period from now until 31 August, tagging friends on their social media pages (Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn).

Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, TAT Governor said, “Those who apply and tag a friend too will have the opportunity to travel together. If they are picked, they will win a free trip to Thailand.

“The final selection will be made by a judging committee that will choose a winner for each sense. The winners can bring a partner to join the trip, so a total of 12 winners will travel to selected destinations for real local Thai experiences that best complement or identify with each individual sense.”

This project will feature safe, comfortable and unique local Thai experiences in areas of Thailand not yet well known to international travellers, in addition to several existing tourist favourites.

Each of the six senses and destinations are as follows:
  • Sight Ban Mae Klang Luang, Chiang Mai
  • Smell Ban Hom Samunphrai, Chiang Mai
  • Taste Ban Na Ton Chan, Sukhothai
  • Touch Ban Na Ton Chan, Sukhothai
  • Belief Dan Sai, Loei
  • Hearing Khlong Bang Luang, Bangkok

The ‘6 Senses Project’ aims to introduce a new twist on traditional local Thai experiences to foreign visitors, like Thai cooking classes, homestays, agricultural activities or village-based handicraft production that is not filtered like a package tour. Instead each is patterned on activities usually that are part of everyday life for the local Thais, presenting activies in an entirely new context based on 100% authentic local Thai cultural experiences.
