WESTERN SYDNEY IN GEAR FOR WORLD TIME ATTACK CHALLENGE

The engines have started for the World Time Attack Challenge at Sydney Motorsport Park, with some of the fastest cars in the world and their teams battling it out for glory today and on Saturday.

Time attack racing is a time-trial style of motorsport where racers compete for the fastest lap time across a range of vehicle classes and categories.

One of the main attractions is the Pagani Huayra, an Italian supercar worth more than $3 million and one of only three of its kind in the world.

Supported by Destination NSW, the event has grown steadily since 2010, with thousands of spectators expected to attend. In 2015 the World Time Attack Challenge attracted 2,900 intrastate, interstate and overseas overnight visitors, generating more than $1.8 million in visitor spend for NSW.
