DISCOVER STRANGELY WONDERFUL SINGAPORE AFTER DARK

When you think of exciting ‘must see’ night-time destinations, Singapore may not historically have been on your shortlist, however the Lion City has well and truly grown up, with a range of eclectic experiences that suit all tastes and budgets. While many automatically associate Singapore with popular day activities like theSingapore Zoo, Sentosa and shopping, it’s when the sun goes down and the temperature drops, that you find almost a different city coming to life, but still packed with world-class attractions, cutting edge bars and dining options.

To get a taste of the real Singapore, follow the locals’ lead – with evening temperatures sitting at an ideal 24 degrees and an on-shore breeze that combines with exotic food aromas, Singapore offers a memorable after dark experience that will entice all the senses!

Here are some of our favourite activities to discover once the sun goes down:

6pm onwards
Kick-start your evening at one of Singapore’s rooftop bars, enjoying the iconic skyline, drink in hand as you watch the sunset:
·       LeVel 33: Located on the top floor of the Marina Bay Financial Centre, enjoy a range of freshly brewed beers from the world’s highest urban craft-brewers. www.level33.com.sg
·       1-Altitude Bar:  Situated 282m above ground, take in breathtaking views of the Singapore cityscape whilst tantilising your tastebuds with their refreshing signature cockatil, the ‘Zen Breeze’, made with vodka, green tea, lemongrass and mint.  www.1-altitude.com

·       28 HongKong Street: In the coveted list of 2015 World’s 50 Best Bars, apart from the number 28 above the doorway, there is no signage marking the bar so you’ll need to keep your eyes peeled to find it!
·       Bitters & Love: Featuring cocktails with a distinct local flavour added into the mix, this is where you’ll find Singapore in a drink – and no we don’t mean a Singapore Sling.
·       Long Play:  If you’re after a laid-back vibe to chill with friends while listening to good music on vinyls, then this bar tucked away in the Malay-Arab quarter of Kampong Glam is the place for you.
